To celebrate Lululemon’s 20th anniversary, I helped create a Spark AR triggered physical installation for a 1-day only installation in Stanley Park, Vancouver.
The installation was then embedded in a custom designed trailer and driven across west. The trailer featured 2 simultaneous booths that were wheelchair accessible. Inside each booth was a large panel mirror edge-lit with LEDs. At the back of the booth was an additional set of LEDs to create a feeling of a larger space. All LEDs reacted to input in a SparkAR application.
In the video below, I’m using Spark AR to trigger LEDs using facial expressions; this is likely the first time the Spark AR platform has been used to trigger physical LEDs!
One of the nice features of this project, was a mobile app I created. The app allowed us to stand in the trailer and paint the colours we wanted to use for creating the best selfies. These settings were then saved and bound to different triggers from the SparkAR app.
