Having worked with LEDs for years on the event installation side, I was excited by the opportunity presented by GlowStone Lighting to design the next version of their application to work with their new custom designed Wifi-enabled hardware controllers.
GlowStone Lighting Plus is a React Native application that is used to interact with GlowStone’s LED system. The application uses a modified version of the popular WLED lighting library and focuses on creating a 7 day schedule for lights. I wanted to focus on a quick and easy way to create segments of lights, custom colour palettes and apply them to an easy to use schedule. By developing the app on the React Native hybrid platform, we’re able to easily deploy to Android and iOS.
Additionally, uses cloud-based APIs for authentication and audience management on the AWS amplify platform.
